Heather Jean is an artist who specializes in wierd, wonderful, horrible collages. She also has a fabulous home to share with us.
Although I would consider myself more horrorpunk than steampunk, I think you can see the influence on my decorating... The first 2 pics are in my living room, that's a radio tube stuck in an antique candle holder, a photo of my spouse and I at Dances of Vice last year, and a fetal skeleton replica which was altered by my friend Mike Locascio to look like one of the dancing fetal skeletons of Bologna. I'm an artist and I work at home, so I've really enjoyed creating an atmosphere to suit my eccentric and esoteric tastes.

That's quite an amazing space. One of those places where you tell your guests: uhmmm you might not want to go in there. LOL. Amazing stuff there.
Wow! I love it! I especially love the dancing baby skeleton and the skeleton on top of the baby piano!
That house is awesome! Love the dancing fetus and things in jars!
I like the mossy stuff above the window and the black patent leather upholstery on the club chair.
The punk in Steampunk. This home stopped me and gave me a nice slap on the face. It's not everyday I see dancing baby skeletons or fetuses in jars. Hear, hear.
I like the way the entire room held together. The proportions of stenciled wall and display cases, very nice. There are really a lot of items in this room without looking at all cluttered.
That's simply a fabulous house! And I love how everything is arranged cleanly and clearly.
And that mini-piano: I simply adore it!
Not digging the plain white walls or the border at the top. But the rest is fantastic.
I just came across this artist, who seems to me to distill steampunk to its essence:

I actually do like the border and ceiling and came here to comment on just that! It looks like it has a purplish iridesence. I think white walls work in certain situations and this is one of them. =)
