The Martha Stewart Halloween Special Issue (I know, I know -- I read these things so you don't have to....) has instructions for creating these elegant paper window curtains (along with a template).
I like this idea -- do it in a Victorian wallpaper or wrapping paper (maybe glue it to cardboard first) and you'd have a very inexpensive and very unique window covering.

Oh, Sara. You are too funny. I enjoy your blog so so so much. I especially loved the gypsy caravan photos during the "cozy corners" series. Just a few days after I read that I saw Stardust which featured a lovely yellow one. Fabulous.

Yes! I saw Stardust around the same time and pleased with the synchronicity, too. And I'm reminded that I have a whole list of observations on the homes in Stardust that I've been meaning to post!
