Gothic Ikea?

If you've been following this blog for a while, you know that I was pleasantly surprised by the Liljestad cabinets at Ikea that I chose for my kitchen renovation. Amber just alerted me to another option that will be arriving at Ikea stores in the near future -- a black traditional style door.

Here's some pictures from the Toronto 2011 Design Show:

What do you think?

Are there demons coming out of that mirror? I have a policy against portals to Hell in my house. ;D

I LOVE the mirrored wall with the amazing pharmacy-like cubicles! I can imagine my beakers and test tubes, mortar and pestle, and jars of herbs and teas there. I'm not a fan of mounted horns/heads--or demon portals in my home :) but maybe a magical unicorn horn. Sweet.

Well first of all... thank you! Wow,.. I have long nursed a paln to do my library/atlier in a scientist/naturalist victorian feel, with steampunk influences... and you have allready searched the depths of the net for me!!! Thank you!

I also wanted to share with you this post... it's a fantastic wedding ;)

My own small cottage does def. carry traces of the naturalist style, mixed in with fleamarket/summer cottage styles...

Cant wait to read through your blog now!

I had to laugh when I saw your title for this post! Great touch of irony with your still strong aesthetic. Nice work.
