I believe that Steampunk is more than just brass and watchparts. It's finding a way to combine the past and the future in an aesthetic pleasing yet still punkish way. It's living a life that looks old-fashioned, yet speaks to the future. It's taking the detritus of our modern technological society and remaking it into useful things. Five Leaves
Loved this restaurant design -- It's a place called Five Leaves in Brooklyn, New York.
Such effortless charm...that's the secret to creating something amazing, I think...don't overdo the decor and let the gracefully aged space speak for itself.
Great look to that space! Very relaxing, yet upbeat. Wishing we could somehow meet for coffee there one of these days......
