Stardust

Did you see the movie Stardust? It's a sweet fairy tale, but the eye candy by production designer Gavin Bocquet is what sold me.

Bright, colorful marketplaces.

Shops that sell lightning (to airship pirates!)

Spooky Grand Halls

Gypsy Caravans

And did I mention airship pirates?

I loved the movie AND the book - which was quite different. :)

The movie was great visually, but I loved the novel by Neil Gaimon...the audio version that Neil himself performed. He is an AWESOME storyteller!

I really enjoyed this movie. I've watched it probably 6 times. I love the sets, costumes, and of course you gotta love those airship pirates.

I'm totally in love with this movie - although I HATE that dress Michelle Pfeiffer is wearing. I think this is one of my favourite De Niro and Ricky Gervais roles ever.

This is my favorite movie of all time. I'm the kinda gal that only ever watches a movie once. And that's it. Yet I have watched Stardust five times, even bought the DVD for myself and have read the book twice- LOVE it. Glad I discovered your blog- I'm loving the steampunk jewelry look and was researching THAT and it led me here:)

Great movie, great book.

But the airship pirates are lightning catchers that sell the lightnings to the shop ;-).
