Book Tables

There's a new steampunklet in my life and home, so it's been a bit hectic and sleep deprived around here. Just ran across these I thought you all would like, however.

The counter at Brunswick Bound bookstore, designed by architect Christie Petsini. via.

"Layers" by designer Richard Hutten. via.

Desk at the Library Bibliotheek TU Delft. via.

Coffee table, available from etsy seller Tytie. via.

End tables, also by Tytie. via.

  7. A few years ago someone made some shelf brackets that looked like leatherbound books.

The funniest thing about them was the titles of the books they were meant to be - which was something like "A complete history of bookshelf design, Vol I", and Vol II, and Vol III :-)

  10. I could never have one of those tables in my house- I'd be paranoid about spilling coffee on the books!

    Congratulations on the new addition!

  12. I'm seeing more structures made of books in catalogs and design magazines lately. I seem to form "end tables" of books purely by accident... ^_^

Congratulations, Sara and family! Happy Thanksgiving!

  15. I'm not the biggest fan of the book tables. Its colorful, its functional, but all I keep thinking is 'what a waste of good books'.

Could you imagine the papercuts you may procure just by moving a table? :p
